Cornelius

Thanks to the wonders of certain music communities, a became exposed to this rare gem; Cornelius. A Japanese musician who puts forth a unique type of experimental and psychedelic electronic music. He has three notable albums, some of which are now out of print, but can be purchased from third party sources. Be wary of imports, they can be +$60 for some copies. Find warehouse copies where possible.

Fantasma

The first album of his that I caught on to sometime last year. I was praying to God that repugnant J-Pop didn't start blaring out of my speakers, though I wouldn't have been able to hear it over the screaming of my penis. The album opens quite smoothly, first with some forceful silence before moving into some very sensual jams. They carry a sort of hip hop vibe with them. Most songs are eccentric, each in their own way. Becomes surprisingly good skateboarding music.

Point

A seemingly more sophisticated release than Fantasma, although I don't know which album I prefer. He offers entirely new material without changing direction, changing sound too drastically, or just recycling old stuff. It still retains its fantastical content, woven into each layer of the music.
